A dance performance featuring live music and poems inspired by the Avesta, the Zoroastrian sacred text. This musical work first premiered in Toronto at Nuit Blanche. The piece brings together four musicians, a vocalist, and a solo performer dancing inside a box‑like screen structure. Through lighting design and animated projections, the performance evokes the elemental forces of light, darkness, and humanity.

Vayu Izad, the wind divinity in Zoroastrianism and the Avesta, embodies the invisible forces that move between worlds—air, breath, transition, and the boundary between light and darkness. 

In the Avesta, Vayu is described as a powerful and complex yazata who exists between the realms of Ahura Mazda and Angra Mainyu, governing the space where human choices and moral struggles unfold. He is the force of movement itself: the wind that carries life, the breath that animates the body, and the atmospheric power that guides the soul at the moment of death.
