Connection is a contemporary dance trilogy created between 2014 and 2018.
Connection / Wedlock / Do U remember me?
Each part is a separate one-and-a-half-hour performance, presented live in Armenia and Georgia, and later adapted into a short film screened at the INCLUSIVE ARTS Festival in Canada (2020). Across the trilogy, two performers—a man and a woman—reappear in new roles, creating fresh narratives each time while maintaining a shared emotional core.
Across all three works, two performers—a man and a woman—reappear in new roles, creating fresh narratives each time while maintaining a shared emotional thread. In one piece, the relationship is shaped by dominance in the workplace; in another, the couple navigates the lingering memories of a love that has ended; and in the third part, the audience witnesses a marriage on the verge of collapse, where every gesture reveals tension, exhaustion, and unspoken conflict. Although the stories shift, one theme remains constant throughout the trilogy: the ongoing struggle between two people for control within the relationship. There is always a competition for emotional or psychological dominance, a push and pull that never settles into balance.
Equality never fully emerges…
